When you install the ClickMeter Link Shortener and Analytics plugin for WordPress data are written in your WordPress site and database and in your ClickMeter account. Before you deactivate the plugin you need to remove the data. There are two alternative ways to delete all data from WordPress:
1) Remove the API Key
a) Click on "Remove API-Key" button in the main page of the plugin ( ClickMeter > Settings).
b) Follow the steps. Deleting data may take seconds or many minutes if not hours depending on how many posts/pages you are tracking.
2) Remove plugin data
a) Click on "Remove plugin data" button from the plugins directory in the WordPress admin dashboard.
b) Follow the steps. Deleting data may take seconds or many minutes if not hours depending on how many posts/pages you are taking.
ATTENTION!!! These operation will cause deletion of all data saved in your WordPress blog about ClickMeter's plugin, and your posts will no more be tracked. Furthermore, tracking links created with WordPress domain will stop working.
IMPORTANT: These operations just cancel data on your WordPress site. Links and pixel on your ClickMeter account will not be deleted. If yiu need to delete them you can do it directly from you ClickMeter Account.
After the data have been removed you can deactivate the plugin
Once the delete is completed all you have to do is go back the plugins directory in the WordPress admin dashboard, and click on "deactivate" button to turn off the plugin.
