Trouble Shooting Why My HTA Conversions Are Not Recording

If you're a High Traffic Academy (HTA) user and have associated conversions to the ClickMeter tracking links and you're not recording conversions please follow these instructions to test out your conversion setup.

  1. Check the conversion is associated to the tracking link(s).
  2. Check the conversion pixel is being used in the HTA dashboard
  3. Check the conversion code being embedded in HTA matches the conversion being associated to the tracking link.
  4. Confirm there are no spaces preceding the conversion code in the HTA dashboard
  5. Confirm there are no spaces in between codes if you're using two different codes in the Opt in box (e.g. Facebook & Clickmeter)

1. Confirm the correct conversion has been associated to the tracking link(s) by checking the link by following these instructions:

    • Dashboard > Click "Reports" > "Tracking Links" > place your cursor over the tracking link to expose the "Actions" drop down > select "Edit".

    • Write down the name of the conversion associated to the tracking link.
    • Repeat this process for all the tracking links in questions (within the rotator)

2. Confirm the ClickMeter conversion code embedded in the HTA dashboard is the HTML Conversion Pixel.

  • Log into the HTA dashboard and double check the conversion code in the "Opt In Conversion Pixel" is the short ClickMeter conversion pixel code (2nd selection in ClickMeter conversion list) and not the full HTML code (1st selection in ClickMeter conversion list). To check the conversion code of the conversion associated to the tracking link follow these instructions
    • Dashboard > Click "Reports" > Click "Conversions" > Place the cursor over the conversion and click the "Actions" drop down > select "Conversion Snippet"

3. Confirm the conversion being associated with the ClickMeter tracking link matches the conversion pixel code embedded into the High Traffic Academy page (above) for EACH LANDING PAGE.

    • To check the conversion code of the conversion associated to the tracking link follow these instructions
      • Dashboard > Click "Reports" > Click "Conversions" > Place the cursor over the conversion and click the "Actions" drop down > select "Conversion Snippet"

  • Each conversion has a unique individual code to identify it.
    • <img height='1' width='1' border='0' src='//www.clickmeter.com/conversion.aspx?id=1911B41F4026498BAE04F22CB251371B&val=0.00&param=empty&com=0.00&comperc=0.00' />
    • Confirm the ID is the same in the HTA dashboard as the code is shown in the ClickMeter dashboard (and is associated to the tracking link)

If the conversion code showing in the HTA dashboard matches the conversion code ID in the ClickMeter dashboard (which also is associated to the tracking link) then you will need to double check there are no spaces preceding the code in the HTA dashboard.

4. Log into your HTA dashboard and confirm in the "Opt In Conversion Pixel" box there are no spaces after the conversion pixel. By placing the cursor after the pixel code the cursor should default to the immediate space following the code.

  • The green circle reflects the correct format, the red circle reflects the incorrect format.

  • If there is a space please remove by hitting the "Backspace" key or "delete" key

5. If you're using two conversion pixels in the "Opt In Conversion Pixel" please confirm there is no space between the two pixel codes.
